ABOUT COPENHAGEN

Copenhagen is a world-class destination and one of Europe’s oldest and most popular cities. It boasts cleanliness, progressive modern architecture along side stunning palaces, the must visit Tivoli Gardens amusement park and some of the Worlds best dining experiences amongst some of the top reasons for visiting. It’s also really easy to explore on foot or as many of the locals prefer – by bike, meaning you can pack a lot in to a short visit.

Explore the canals, meander down the pretty narrow and winding streets and appreciate the beautiful old homes.  Copenhagen is rich with design-led stores and you’ll find great shopping and on The Ströget which is also a fabulous place to people watch.

ABOUT THIS CITY BREAK

The hotel location means you can easily head into the city to sightsee and delve into everything that Copenhagen has to offer. We’d highly recommend spending some time in Tivoli Gardens where you can delve into it’s historic architecture, enjoy the botanical treasures and have fun on the roller coasters too! Try out one of the nostalgic rides, including the wooden Roller Coaster from 1914 or discover beautiful flower settings along quaint paths while munching on some cotton candy or a candied apple. With entrance included during our stay there is something here for everyone.

On the half-day city tour you’ll get to take in lots of famous sites including the Folketing (Danish Parliament) and the cathedral Vor Frue Kirke (Church of our Lady) and in the harbour keep an eye out for the famous sculpture of ‘The Little Mermaid’ from the fairy tale by Hans Christian Anderson.

ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION

The Hotel Scandic Sydhavnen is an eco-friendly hotel within walking distance of local amenities including shops, restaurants and Sydhavn station and it’s just a short train ride from the centre of Copenhagen.

The facilities include a restaurant, bar, small library, gym and summer terrace. The single rooms are comfortable and feature air-conditioning, TV, iron, hairdryer and complimentary Wi-Fi.
